Our farm is now closed, but our self-serve roadside stand remains open for cash purchases of squash, pumpkins, straw bales, and firewood.

Thank you for a wonderful “farewell season” at the farm ♥

Getting Ready to Plant Pumpkins

Posted on: May 14th, 2015 by Shantz Family Farm

Farmer Kevin has been working hard getting fields ready for our fall season. Of course, it’s a huge job just figuring out where all the crops will be planted in order to accommodate his route for wagon rides & school tours, as well as our pick-your-own-patch and our corn maze! As we try to teach visitors each year, crops are rotated on a regular basis. Inevitably that means that the corn maze and pumpkin patches are always in different locations from previous years. This year the corn maze is smaller than previous years, but will be fun just the same! Hopefully the weather will cooperate & pumpkin planting will take place after the May long weekend! Have a great weekend folks!!
